I called an attorney and got some info on our state(it doesn't have a state law but the federal covers it.)

They have online brochures / tutorials and forms you can download. I keep a copy of the PA with instructions and the SR with instructions on my computer. It saves alot of time. Whether you need an attorney to help you with your copyrights, naw. But if you start getting into the publishing end, then it's always a good idea to have one handy. The contracts can be a little intimidating. And get one that understands entertainment law and not just your run of the mill lawyer.
