Need help copying a specific melody
I'm trying to copy a melody from a sample, and I think I've got the basics down, but no instrument sounds quite right; as if it doesn't quite hit the right notes, even though the notes seem to be in order. If I place the sample in my arrangement instead of the copied melo, it sounds spiffy.
I'm wondering if the original melo is composed of chords, but I just can't seem to make them out if they are there. I can hear there are 2 pads in the background, but the main melody stands out, and just sounds like it's a tiny bit detuned, but it isn't...
If I'm right, it goes like this:
C1 A# G F G A# C1 A# G F G D# A# C1 A# G F G F D# F D# D A#
