I recently purchased a copy of Cubase to test to see if i will use it long term in my studio...however i keep getting error messages when i try and open Cubase about a copy protection device... is there any way to get round this problem..

I am not someone who owns illegal software but Cubase is expensive and i wish to try it out before i can legitimately buy it for my studio..

please can anyone help?

Forget the pirated copy that you purchased. Download the demo from the steinberg website. If it loads ok, you will know that you purchased a bum copy of cubase

is dere n e way rnd the copy protection

I have downloaded the cubase demo b4..but iz dere n e way u can disable the copy protection...

please help because i am not a rich person..so if i do decide tro buy cubase i would like to know what it iz like/

Please help sum1???

the copy protection device is hardware, and it comes with the software...you'll probably need it.

is'nt dere any patches???

i know dat i nd da hardware ..but surely dere must be a patch available to combat da dingle..i have'nt set up my studio yet and i am checking out dis version on my mums pc ..so i just wanna see wot cubase is like before i decide to buy it for my studio..

please if any one has any info about disabling the dongle or any patches available ..please let me know/

thanks

the demo allows al the features to be used without a dongle. all you cant do is save or print. you can see if you like it by just using the demo. if you like the demo, BUY the package.

*nods in approval*..

Face it IQ. You didnt buy Cubase legitamitely. If you had you would have the hardware device. download the demo. it has all the feature and most plugins. You can get a good idea fo what to do form that then you will have to buy the package (which i recommend because all demos and pirate copies have relatively few plugins or intruments etc).
