Hey that sounds like a great song with a lot of good stuff. As far as the mix I'm not that far along yet but it sounds like a good mix to me. I like the song for sure! I just wish at the end it came back with some more music. Great song though!

wow...first post and you pick my song. I outta win a prize!

Hey thanks for the comments. I'm thinking some more vocals somehow at the end, or just edit some junk out and not have the instrumental rambling be so long. This is meant for the headphone crowd.

Oddly enough, this CD will have some narration over the music too, and that might happen there as well...

Not to bad. Had to forward it past to too long intro. Sounds pretty good and I'm sure it'll be better when you're finished mixing it.

wadda ya mean long intro?... the singing comes in at :058 :laughings:
Anyrate, thought it was "in ratio" to a 6:00 song!

thx for the listen and comments.

Probably not going to tweak much more, unless someone points out something I'm obviously missing.

Ha Ha yeah I guess you win the grand prize for getting the first post from me. I'm more of a reader than a poster as you could probably tell by my join date, but I thought that sense I finally got some decent equipment I might as well join the community sense I'm probably gonna post some of my stuff eventually.

Anyway after another listen I think I may have jumped the gun on my comment about the end. I guess I was expecting it to come back in with some more but I think it actually sounds good how it is. Guess I'll make sure to listen more than once in the future.
P.S. I notice you're from Kentucky too. I am from Frankfort. Good to see some good music coming from the state.
Peace out.

thx for the follow up.

I live in the boonies near Ky Lake and without the internet, I'd still be chugging my guitar into my Ampeg V4 and battling tape hiss. The internet is my "connection" on how to do this stuff, and as mentioned on another thread (just today!), I have yet to meet and discuss FACE TO FACE with another person that has virtual drums, records VSTi and multitracks and mixes in the box. Shows you how much communication I have with the "modern" music world today.

yeah...get some Kentuckeee music up here!!

You're sounding like DavidK on this track with all the synth and special effects parts. Except your drums are a bit better ;)....
Fabulous!

Forgot to add - send my Kudos out to the singer. And I've always wondered whether the super vee was any good - sounds like it is...

idol... thx

the super-vee is INCREDIBLE. Smokes a floyd all day long. My guitar NEVER goes out of tune... I mean NEVER. I take it out of the case, it's still in tune. On the RARE occasion, I"ll tweak the fine tuner at the bridge...but rarely.

It has drastically changed my guitar experience. I NEVER have to tune up in a live situation and can walk up to the stage, plug in and feel confident I'm in tune with the keys and ready to go. My Gibsons sit unplayed for this reason.

It's a little weird looking at the honker nut, but ya know...who really gives a hoot?

and you can hear, like on this track, the whammy was hit pretty hard. And I didn't touch the tuners before the tune, nor have it since I've recorded those parts. That says a lot.

The reverb/delay on the vocals interatcs badly with the sibilance in the vocal track. It's pretty ear piercing.

The mix is overall pretty good, but the rhythm guitars get kind of muddy at times. They get lost in the mash of sound. The intro and wild drum outro are each way too long. This thing could easily be condensed down to 4 minutes without missing anything and be more enjoyable.

Overall it's a great job though.

thx Greg...

I've sinced worked on the gtrs, as you're not the first to mention that... Also same with the HH and kick, as they seemed lost too. (I haven't posted an updated mix yet though).

My music does tend to ramble on... and I'm trying to figure where to edit or what to put on top. I definately understand the "too long" theory.

I'll go back and check the ld vocals too.

Thx for the useful input.
