Didn't know Harvey was such a 'big' guy....

Probably the nicest compliment you can give this down-to-earf guy who's given so much to the home recording community. Hats off to Harvey. :)

awesome. i just subscribed to Tape Op last week, can't wait til i get my first issue. :D

I knew Harvey's rep before, but didn't know it went that deep. I have learned from him and even butted heads a little. I'm glad I was able to listen to his wisdom and get pointed in the right direction. It was a growing experience.

I feel honored to have been put in my place be a man of his experience and background. It blows me away that he's still willing to help the little guy!

God bless you Harvey! Even more than he already has!!

What most of you attribute to "wisdom, skill, and experience" on my part can usually be explained more easily by the expression: "dumb luck".

Harvey, you're too modest, great interview. Funny thing is we have a lot in common, I started about the same time a studio, late eighties and like you I was 'not so young', I'm 62 now.

I too had a kind of home studio in the attic, a 4 track Tascam 3440 and a Teac M2A 6 in 4 board, where I recorded the band I was playing drums.

Other bands came in to record their demo's, same story.

By the age of 51 I quit my day job and chose for the music.

You're a great guy Harv, we all love you!

If i even do half the things you've done in your life i'd be happy. I hadn't appriciated quite who you we're.

Thankyou Harvey.

that statement adds communication and being easy to work with since we all know by now what it's like working with other types of people who might claim it was all them and boast about it, etc.

Luck and success combine well, but also recognizing opportunities and working hard at them counts.

Your story also shows how getting out and working with people, even for free or helping others can create opportunity later. Also good karma.

I started dieting and exercise last Monday, and I gotta say it's the best I've felt in a long time. I spring out of bed, walk faster, feel more upbeat, don't crave shit food...

...I'm using a NordicTrack Ellipse machine which is no impact and like running / jogging except you still get an upper body workout like skiing. I'm not trying to get "buff"...just toned and fit.

Back on topic...Harvey rules!

War

I just walk and don't eat pizza and loose, oh yea, and take phosphatidyl choline before the walk, it emulsifies fat, I guess it helps dissolve it, I only walked 2 miles and I lost a lot in only 2 months or so.
