Dude, I can write volumes pro and con about it. Check out my stuff at
www.mp3.com/Mofocult and see what you think. The music might not be your style but the thing to think about is that CEP is the ONLY piece of audio software that I own... All of the effects and mastering were done with CEP.
Cons? The manual sucks. They dont even include it, you have to request that they send you one.
The interface on the effects is nonexistant. You type in numbers to define the parameters of the effects and this can be, at best, awkward, and at worst it can make the effect unusable. The manual doesnt help much, either.
The software is buggy and unstable. certain features stop working for no reason. The mixing is slow... Lots of time is spent waiting for the background mixing to finish... even on fast systems.
Syntrillium doesn't appear to be working on any improvements to it... Their website isn't very well maintained.
CEP is my first multitracker and I have stuck with it this far, but I havent been 100 percent satisfied with it... My satisfaction rate probably hovers around 50%.
It is a good chunk of software for the $$$. I paid $250 for it and I feel like I have gotten my moneys worth but I will be moving on to a more stable platform unless Syntrillium has some huge improvements to offer soon.
