I'm not all that familiar with CE, so I can't really compare them. When I have used CE, I've been impressed. The quality is good, seems to be stable, etc. But the product was just sold to Adobe. That may or may not be a good thing, mind you. But one thing is certain. The price went up.
I AM familiar with n-Track, however, and can tell you a good deal about it. From the forum, to the personal interaction with the author, to the frequent releases, and the attention to user requests; my experience with N has been a very positive one.
I'm not a professional rec eng, so take this with some salt; but in my experience, N is very competitive with packages costing 4 - 8 times as much.
Hope this helps some.
