convert to unique copy

Hey, can someone shed some light on this one for me?

I want to duplicate a track in multitrack view, at the same time keeping the original track intact. I want to do this so I can run different transforms on the duplicated track and yet keep referring back to the original track for comparison. Every time I use Convert to Unique Copy, it copies the track okay, but the original disappears.

Am I doing something wrong? Missing a step somewhere?

hmmm. I dont think I use that method. Instead I hold CTRL and RIGHT-click DRAG the track to an empty place.

Easy, just right click

Loop duplicate * 1

Convert the loop to unique copy

Now you can compare the 2 files
