If I'm using the UA 4-710d with the Apogee Symphony I/O, and I want to bypass the UA's AD conversion, should I not hook the UA to the Apogee with the ADAT cable? Should I only hook it up to the Apogee using the analog cables? If the UA is hooked up to the Apogee with the ADAT cable, and slaved to the Apogee's clock, does this bypass the UA's AD conversion and only use its pre-amps? I would just like to know how I can use the 4-710d as a mic pre and not its conversion, Thanks.

UA line out to Symph line in.

If you hook up via TOSLink, you're bypassing the Symphony's converters.

Massive Master has it in one. To feed via ADAT the UA will have to have already converted your signals to digital. The only way to use the Apogee's converters is to give it analogue sources.
