Between my control room and main studio I have two separate walls, with an air space of 8" in between. I am trying to decide whether to install one window ( two layers of glass with different thickness's) floated on both sills (which overhang toward each other inside the walls), or two separate windows, one on each frame, same double layers of glass in each. I figure this would make them totally independant from each other, and I could wrap some type of fabric between each, so you couldn't see into the "air space" between the walls.

Another of my "is this overkill" type questions!
Thanks in advance,

2 seperate windows is the way to go. You can probably get away with one sheet of glass in each, BUT it is advisable to use two different thicknesses of glass and the thicker the better. Just avoid any direct contact between the two walls that will transmit vibrations.
