In reviewing my plan set, I thought I would make some modifications to the control room size. I shortened it by 2' because I wanted some more space for the "live room".

The control room is trapazodial in plan so its dimensions are 18'-3" long, and 20'-6" wide at the rear, and 13'6" wide at the front. The ceilings are 12'h. That makes for about 3300 cu.ft.

Is this volume adequate?
Is there a considered minimum volume for a control room?

Maybe and NO.

There are so many vaiables to the equation that you take your best shot then fix the problem areas to minimize the damage. Over at PSW, in Brad Blackwoods forum there is some discussion on room size and John Sayers has been in there along with Bob Ohlsson. Its interesting to read. Take a look.
