Hi,
I am having extreme difficulties in making this work.
I am using Cakewalk's 'Music Creator 4' which has Roland TTS-1 incorporated. I love this soft synth and would like to use it as standalone synth through VanBasco's midi player (apparently it is possible). Being DXi synth (not VST) I needed a host. I purchased ART Teknika's 'Console ver1.6.0' which can recognise DXi modules and to be used as standalone synths.
I have installed MIDIYoke as virtual cable. And I think I've messed up everything. I cannot make it work. What I simply want is to use Roland TTS-1 as my synth in VanBascos player.
It is worth mentioning I am using M-Audio Fast Track Pro (with ASIO drivers) as a sound card.
Please, could someone send me a step by step setup process to make this possible. Please, I need this desperately.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The only part of the above that I am at all familiar with is the Fast track pro. This is a pretty simple device and I never had any bother with mine for audio. I did not use it for MIDI except to test a couple of things out but again, simple to setup and use and just worked.

We (son and I ) did use Sonar Cakewalk for a time...Well! Tried to! I found it soooooo dificult to get a MIDI device to work in it! (you also cannot AFAICT export raw MIDI data?) .

Reaper might be a better bet to start with. It should find the Roland synth.

Sorry I cannot be of more help.

Dave.

Thanks Dave for your reply.
Much appreciated. I'll keep on trying to fix this.

Hi,
I am still waiting for any suggestions.
Maybe just to simplify my question. All I want is to use the TTS-1 as a default synth for VanBasco Player.
I can use with no problem the Yamaha SYXG-50 (but that is VST).
Roland TTS-1 is DXi and that is why I cannot load it through VSTHost.
Please, any help is much appreciated.
