Hi,

I am currently a Cubase user and am having constant problems what with one thing and another. I have downloaded the demo version of Cakewalk and quite like the feel of it if nothing else.

I am basically a MIDI user who gets a lot of use from soundfonts and sometimes use Audio (not for live recording but for using wav file samples).

I would be interested to know whether anyone can comment and give some advice as to whether I should go ahead and get Pro Audio 9!

Cheers

Christian

Well you ARE on the Cakewalk forum!! I have used Cakewalk for years. A brief contact with Cubase convinced me to return to Cakewalk. That is what works for me... for others???????

I'm the same - I've got both and actaully started on cubase - atari etc - but I now use cakewalk for it's audio and stability but if I was a midi person such as yourself I would suggest that cubase is better for midi than cakewalk but hell - that's subjective - get it a try ;)

I suspect there will be a cakewalk 10 out there soon???

I don't use Cakewalk. But from my odd try at it, it seems more midi oriented than Cubase. As far as stability goes, both have their problems.

I AM A CUBASE USER WHO HAS HAD CAKEWALK ENCOUNTERS....I THINK THAT THEY ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME..I BELIEVE THAT IT IS ALL IN HOW U FEEL WHEN YOU ARE USING IT...EACH HAS THERE PROBLEMS...I HAVE HEARD THAT CUBASE IS MORE WIDELY USED IN MAJOR RECORDING STUDIOS THAT CAKEWALK....BUT AT THE SAME TIME CAKEWALK WAS DESIGNED WITHT THE HOME STUDIO IN MIND,SO TAKE YOUR PIC...AS A CUBASE USER WHO HAS HAD CAKEWALK ENCOUNTERS...ID SAY TO STICK WITH CUBASE, BUT I AM A CUBASE USER SO I GUESS MY OPINION IS BIASED
