Connections

Hi,

Just a quick question.

Anybody know if it makes a big difference what kind of way you connect from a digital 8-track to a pc?

I'm shopping around for a sound card at the moment and thinking this might be a factor.

I have tried 15 PIN DIN - midi breakout cable which seems fine on my existing card but I'm wondering if I'd be better off with optical or coaxial

What kind of signal? Midi DIN connectors are used for midi, not audio.... and if you're talking audio there's a difference between analog & digital I/O.

Sorry (D'oh!)

The midi is for the sync.

I'm using the master output (phono) to mini jack for the audio.
