Here is what I want to do...extremely simple, yet for the newbie...not so much

I have a yamaha 01v and a computer with sound card running Cubase sx. What i want to do is get the mixer hooked up with the computer through the soundcard and get them synced...

what cables would i need, what places would i connect them and how do i sync?
anything that could get me started would be awesome
 
What soundcard do you have? If all you have are analog inputs then take the main outs on the 01V and connect them to the Line In on the soundcard. The type of cable will depend on what types of jacks you have on each input/output.

What kind of sync do you want to do? There isn't much to do but maybe have the 01V control Cubase through MIDI. For that you need a midi cable and a midi input on your computer. Your manual should have pretty specific instructions on how to do that. If you can be more specific about what you want to do then we can give you more detailed answers.

my sound card is a terratech digital card...the ews88d. so it has the digi ins/outs
