i'm trying to run my tascam 424 mk3 to my computer. i went from the line out of my four trac and used a y adapter to go into a line in on the sound card of my computer. sound comes through the monitors. when i hit record on acid 3.0, it records but nothing happens. the little scroll scrolls, the white area keeps incumbering more space but no sound wave. what should i check. i went into my windows volume control and made sure nothing was muted. it wasn't. i don't know what to do. i've never recorded digitally. thanks.

You may need to enable a track before you click the record button.

ahhh

you need to go into windows volume and click options properties and then go to recording, and then you should have either the line in checked or the microphone depending on which input you are using, that may be the problem. good luck tim pate

volume options

i looked in the options and the line had been selected. does it matter if midi and cd audio are selected simultaneously?

I keep cdaudio disabled. I only enable Midi, line in, Master level.

enable

i don't see an option on acid pro 3.0 to enable a track. i tried the help area and even searched for the term "enable" but no dice.
