Connecting with external sound card

Hey.

I'm trying to record in pro tools on my laptop by putting a mic through a Lenovo UC30 external. Can I use this external sound card with Pro Tools? If so, how do I tell Pro Tools to stop using using the computer external sound card and us the external sound card?
 
Hi,
Yes you can. Just go to Setup>Playback engine and choose the desired device.
