Hello fellow artists,
Ive got a problem finding 7 pin female xlr to 3 pin male xlr adaptor online. I need it for connecting Studio Projects T3 mic to RNP preamp. Too bad it werent included with shipment. Here in Croatia question of 7 pin xlr has the aura of mystery.
Thanks for help,
K.

Unfortunately, you are trying to do what cannot be done (at least the way you are going about it). The 7 pin cable from the T3 connects to its power supply (which comes with the mic.). The power supply has a normal XLR output which you connect to your preamp or mixer. There is no way around this, the power supply is required in order to use the mic. It is not a preamp, but an integral part of the microphone ( not physically, but electrnically). Hope this helps.

heh..great. now lemme throw myself through the window...it ll be a tiny benefit for the average iq statistics. I havent even bothered to pull out the box from the case. I had no preamp when I bought the mic so there was no point ...Now RNP just arrived and the mic cable caught my eye.
Thanks.

The power supply serves the mic with all its power needs.
For that reason you will not need to use phantom power from the RNP.
Short term accidental use of phantom power to the unit will not hurt it, but it is a good idea to not leave the phantom power turned on for long periods of time.

I have the same set up. You are going to love it.
