Hey, im new to all of this and im trying to connect my tascam porta02 mkII to my tapco mix 60.

This is probably really simple but i can not figure it out. Any help would be great.

thanks

Run the L/R line-outs of your tascam into 2 line inputs on your tapco. It looks like the tascam has rca outputs, so you'll need a cable with rca on one end and 1/4" TS on the other. A set of RCA cables with a pair of these would do it:

Or 2 cables that each have these 2 ends:

I'd plug em into one of the stereo channels. But if you run it into the 2 mono channels, you'll have to pan them hard left / right or you'll end up recording a summed mono signal. (which you may want)

Your post title indicates you want to connect the mixer to the recorder, your post the other way. Which is it?
Looks like you should be able to go 1/4" phone plug to /4" phone plug from the main outputs of the mixer to the two inputs on the Tascam.

Maybe, but I assume he has old tapes he wants to get recorded onto a computer. I can't think of much reason to take a modern digital project and put it on cassette. Unless he has sound fx on his computer he wants to add to a 4-track project or something.....

In any case, line outs -> line ins. Use whatever cables and/or adapters you need to to make the physical connections, set your volume and input gains, and you're off.
