Depending on what you are trying to do, you would send an out to the compressor, and then from the compressor back in. Probably from the FX send, into the Comp.

its mainly for recording vocals in to my computer.... but i was finkin off addin that in the chain before it goes in to my mixer, but wernt sure if i cud connect it

If the mixer doesn't have inserts, you'd put it between the signal source and the line level inputs.
