conga microphone

i am having the oppotunity to record some tribal dance and rythim instrumentaton. i have all the microphones covered except for the conga .

can anyone recommend a suitable microphone for conga that will be general enough to use for other percussion as well?

re 20 on bottom ( or sm7 or beyer 88 or cad 179)

Try an AT 2020. Nice crisp sound that has an airiness, reminiscent of more expensive mics. Other budget mics would be the AT ATM33a and SM81.
