how do I configure the MIDI ports with the new LIveDrive2 (soundblster live!) to be able to plug both MIDI in/out in front of the bay (LD2) ? I have a MIDI controller and wish to plug it in the frontal MIDI port of the bay)

It only works from the back (game-port) which is frustrating.... I have to unplug in the back everytime I need to lug my box around...

help !?

I have the live drive myself and I have never had the problem. I believe you go to the sound blaster live set up and configure the midi drive that u will be using. I am not sure if that will help you, but it is what i did. When ever i dump anything into to my computer I ussually have a program to select which midi drive I will be using, i.e. cool edit pro.

If you're on Windows, there's in the control panel a multimedia icon. Open it and there's a MIDI tab. I managed to get my synth guitar working fine after a while, but haven't had the time to test other configurations.

The following site has an alternative driver for SBLive and it's supposed to get over the problems associated with cubase by giving you an ASIO driver for SBLive. It also gives you two individual analog inputs.

Also SBLive's basic default is 48KHz.

It also has a great new input mixer. Check it out at
