Hi,
I'm going to buy a Rode NT1, I read a lot about this cheap mic.
I would like to know how a condenser mic is, I mean I've never had one, I know they work with phantom power, but do I need an external box where to connect the mic? Could I connect it directly into a sound module as the novation A station to use vocoder?

Thanks to all

Marco.

there are many threads on this, so my first suggestion would be to do a search. If you find any with Harvey Gerst doing alot of posting, youre in luck.
second suggestion would be to go buy a couple of books. These will be invauable to you as a home reccording engineer. My suggestions would be:
Modern Recording Techniques by Huber (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...9140/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_67_1/103-9966376-1343864)
Proffesonal Microphone Techniques by Huber/Williams (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0872886859/ref=pd_bxgy_text_2/103-9966376-1343864)

There are lots and lots of other books out there though, maybe some better suited than these for the explanation at hand. Many poeple on this board have reccomended some really good books.

Good luck,
Todd
