I am trying to tape to cassette from my computer. I can get sound (not very good) by hooking up to either line or to speakers from computer and to either Aux or Dat on my stereo. It DOES record, but the sound quality is really bad. Is there any way to change settings or something that will let me get a good quality cassette?

Probably not. Most cassette decks suck, and unless you are using a sound card that cost over say, $300 bucks, the Digital to Analog converters suck.

Try buying a CD-R/W drive for you computer and burn CD's. I have seem them for as little as around $180 on sale. Nobody listens to cassettes anymore do they???? :)

I have Riptide somethingerother sound card. I have the CD burner, but thought I could override it straight to the stereo. It makes me feel old, but I guess I prefer cassettes. I have 4 kids and cassettes just seem to be more durable. Plus, cassettes don't jump around when you do (jump around). Oh well, I guess I'll just record to CD first. Thanks for your help.
