Computer soundcard/digital recording?

Ok, hi its me again... well, so Im going to be making a co-dependent studio using a Yamaha 4416 to record the main tracks and then use my computer to add effects and such. Im slightly confused about this though... So Do I get a soundcard for my comp that allows me to connect the yamaha with my comp or can this be done using usb?? I check multiple sites people recommended but I couldnt find anything on this topic... plz help!! thx!!

Take a look at the FAQ section and the manual downloads. It should tell you what you need to know.

I believe the AW4416 can export Wave files via it's SCSI port. If you want to send sound (versus data), the AW4416 also has a SPDIF Coaxial Out and the ability to plugin optional cards which offer a variety of digital outs.
