Computer sampler prog.

A few years ago I sold my stand-alone ROLAND sampler, thinking that my computer could do everythng better. HA! Now I'm sad I sold it, but alas, I must move on. My question is: Does anyone here know of a Computer program that will allow me to time-stretch, loop, double, effect, etc. a recorded sample similer to a BOSS Dr. Sample , or an AKAI sample station? I'm already using SoundForge, but I'd like the "hands on" or should I say "mouse on" feel of knobs, as well as more realtime editing.

thane1200, I would suggest that you get Native Instruments Battery 2 and an Akai MPD-16

You will be so, so, so HAPPY that you did.

I use the two of them when I am feeling "hands-on".
