Computer recording Setup.

Hey everyone my name is Sobepinboy. I am new to the group and I am in dier need of some Setup help.

My current setup is as follows.

I have my turntables and cd mixers routed to my Vestax pmc 46 dj mixer. I then have the Vestax out going to my Folio Notepad Inputs 1-2. Folio Input 3 is routed to my Gina soundcard output 1 and then the Gina Input is routed back to folio master outputs.

I then have the Monitor outs on the folio routed to my alesis amp inputs and the outputs of the Alesis amp going to my speakers.

Also, today I Just purchased the following. A pair of the Behringer Truth Active monitors, a 31 band dbx eq, and a sonic maximizer.

My problem is now i cant get any sound. My connections are all screwed up. i am totally confused as to what the chain of command should be. Can anyone help?

Active monitors do not need an amp. I hope you didnt cook something in there.

should be kinda like this:

dj mixer -> Folio (Is this a Spirit Folio mixer you're talking about?) ->Gina ins (from the outputs of the Folio mixer, either main outs, control outs, aux outs, however that one is set up)

Gina ->EQ (If you really want to use it) ->Active monitors

that should get it rolling for you...if you didnt cook the speakers by plugging an amp into them, if they ARE active, that is.

thanks hard2hear for you response. I am going to try your suggestions now.

And by the way i took the Amp out of the chain because the Behringers where active.

Where does the sonic maximizer fit in?

you can leave the EQ and the Sonic Minimizer out of the picture....
