Computer Recording For Vocals

Ok,Ive got all my beats on my computer and its fine.Now I want to record vocals,if I record my vocals onto my four track and then from my four track record it into the computer for effects and all that,is it alright if I do that?Will the vocal sounds come out nice?And would I have to connect the four track into Line Out or Mic Out on the computer?If anyone can help me Thanks Alot...........

Why bother recording them on the 4-track? Use the 4-track as a mic preamp and send the signal to the Line In on your soundcard. Don't use the mic preamp on the typical soundcard, it will be unsatisfactory.

As to will it sound nice, well, depends on your voice, your mic, your mic technique, the effects you apply, and how you define "nice."
