computer keyboard for midi input?

Hi.

I'm using Cakewalk to sequence midi data for a basic light show. I don't have a midi keyboard, so I'm wondering if it is possible to enter midi data using the computer's keyboard in realtime. I don't need velocity sensitivity for what I'm doing.

Yeah its real simple, you can use Virtual Piano that shipped with Cakewalk. Under Tools you should see it listed. If not load it from your CD.

This will enable you to open it up from within Cakewalk.
