I have the MR-8 and and i keep all my mixing, editing, mixdown, etc.. within the box.

As of now I'm not using any computer software to edit Tracks and I don't even know where to begin. It all seems so intimidating to me. I think the reason is becuase I haven't yet grasped the concept of computer editing. Where can I start? Are there any "begginer" programs out there for free download? Can someone guide me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Paul Karate

Welcome to the forum.

Best thing to do is dive in and ride the learning curve! You can sample Magix Audio Studio or Samplitude free http://europe.magix.com/index.php?id=411

Many of the people here are great resources.

Another really good resource for you would be to pick up a copy of "Computer Music" magazine. It's a Brit magazine and includes a CD, so it'll cost you about $15, but it almost always has a section in it for beginners. Better yet, they show screenshots to explain what they're talking about.
ME LIKE PICTURES! :D

Better yet, if you could get ahold of a back issue of Beginner's Special (#CMS05) that came out a couple months ago, you'd have info and software to play with. It's not the greatest software, but a good start, for free.
