i was just wondering if anyone had any solutions to the computer noise im always picking up in my headphones and speakers... basically, im picking up the sounds of my processor, so i um... yeah, i dunno how to remedy this, cept usually to turn down the volume a lot (this makes it hard to monitor)... any suggestions?

Well, umm, what soundcard are you using?

And can you describe the sound of the processor?

I've never heard one

... but it might be that you're hearing the clicking of the hard drive heads. That sometimes happens in Via chipsets if you're using the onboard sound. In such cases the only remedy is to get a new soundcard...

You may have a ground loop somewhere.

Or a poorly shielded monitor.

Or a particularly (electronicly) noisy power supply.
