Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody knows of a good compressor to use with cubase. I'm not too fond of the one included in the dynamics. I'm looking for one that resembles nuendo's compressor. What are you guys using?

I use an external RNC for vocals and a few select other instruments and the compressor that comes with Cubase for the rest.

That's cool, but sounds expensive. Anybody use any software compression? Or does anybody know of any link pages? Thanks :)

I have the Waves C1 compressor, but have yet to install the software (got the Native Power Pack). I've heard the Waves opto compressor is damn good (I thought it came with the power pack... guess I have to buy that, too :))

If money's not too much of an issue, you could buy a UAD-1 card (Mackie) that has a couple of excellent compressors on it.

Actually, the RNC is cheaper than the Waves stuff... about $175.

I'm using samplitude's and cool edit pro's compressors...they do the job

Thanks for all the input guys. Waves looks good. Just gotta do some more research. :D Hopefully I'll be able to decide. Thanks again. :)
