What is a good compressor for recording guitar and bass. The guitar I assume you compress the signal coming from the mic in front of the amp?
For the bass I've got a crap amp, so I assume you go into the compressor and into the 4track.
For my guitar I know that the effects loop is definetly not the way. It comes super close to terminating my signal, aka barely anything is there. I have a Mesa Boogie Mark III and it don't like the compressor in it's effects loop, or anything really...
