compressor + firewire solo

Hello...


I am an emcee so I only use my equipment to record vocal tracks with my mic... I have a condenser mic hooked up to the art studio v3 preamp running into the m-audio firewire solo as it is now, I am buying an external compression unit and was wondering the best way to set this up?


1/4" out from the preamp to 1/4" in on the compressor then 1/4" out from the compressor to 1/4" in on the m-audio box?

any help would be much appreciated

Yes, you've got it right. Hooking it up is one thing, knowing how and when to use it is another.
