That SMART guy.
I was trying one of my first mixes on the VS1880 today. A song with just wurly and voice. As you all know, a wurly (even the roland A90 version, which i really like...) has got quite a dynamic range, and I've got some nasty peaks. So it needs limiting. But this seems to suck the live and freshness out. Am I overdoing it? Maybe first limit the peaks just a little, and then compres the thing? I really don't feel in control when turning the compressors (virtual) buttons...
Another thing, the singer didn't really articulate enough, doing his crazy female voice-thing... Can you clear that up some way?
