We are totaly new to recording; i.e. we have no idea on how 2 do it! :p
So if n e 1 could help by telling me how we can record our own music it would be SUPREMILY helpful in all ways!!!!
Thank you for reading this.

First off; welcome aboard and thanks for being honest enough to admitt that you know nothing about recording. You will quickly discover that recording is a lot different from playing live. I have to ask what (if any) recoding gear you have? Do you plan to go digital or analog? We need to know what you have in order to guide you on to the next step, how to use it. The best advice I can give for now is start simple, as you gain confidence and understanding you can add things as you need them. If you buy gear, get the best you can afford, good gear is easier to upgrade than cheap. Around here, the more specific your questions are, the better the answers will be.

Well thank you, to be honest we have nothing... we have no i dead on wht 2 buy or which is better analog or digital, so 2 improvise on my original question, what would be the best equiptment to start off with on recording for digital or analog, which ever you believe to be more efficient. Thank you.

I would say that if you have a reasonably fast computer, then recording to that is probably easier and cheaper (especially if you ultimately want to burn cd's). Check out the above articles for basic things you will need. Once gotten a shopping list together, you can use the search feature on this site for a wealth of opinions on different pieces of gear. Happy hunting.

A computer, N-track (or a similar program), a handful of adapters, and whatever mics you can scrounge up will keep you busy for ages. There is a wealth of information in this site and all over the net. Good luck with your project and come back and tell us what route you're thinking about taking.
