Looking for the least expensive option, but would like it to WORK, so would appreciate input from some who have used these.
I'm only doing acoustic guitar and vocals. Which would work best for me? Does the MobilePre have any advantages that would justify the extra $50? My budget is very tight, so want to get the most for the least first time out.
Also, Musician's Friend has a refurb Fast Track for a little less. has anybody tried it? As good as New?

Thanks

I just got a used Mobilepre off eBay (for like $75 shipped) for acoustic/vocals recording. Haven't done too much with it, but so far it works great. The key is use the direct monitor to hear the tracks you've already recorded without hearing your current playing/singing with any latency.

I thought about the FastTrack (and even the refurb at MF), but decided against it in case I want to use a condenser mic in the future (the mobile pre has phantom power which is needed for condensers, though I'm told it doesn't work all that well). The other consideration is if you want to sing and play at the same time, I believe only the mobilepre has dual simultaneous input. Probably not an issue for me, but I wanted it in case.

Not exactly a comparison, but I was in your shoes less than a week ago, so I'd have found this info useful at the time.

I'd go with the Fast Track Pro...seems like a better box to me.
