Gone
I think it's about time we get rolling.
I propose a submission deadline of May 1st, 2003. Anyone wishing to submit a song will have to send me all of the required materials such that I receive them BEFORE May 1st, 2003. The necessary materials are listed in the FAQ thread (although the contracts and forms are not ready yet).
So some questions...
1) The minimum submitter requirements. Simply to ward off those looking for cheap publicity, we do need minimum requirements. I know it seems like this wouldn't be a problem, but it *WAS* a problem the first time. My proposed rule is 60 posts in the past 6 months or 250 posts total. This has been lowered and lowered as people have complained, and I think it's pretty reasonable now. Comments?
2) Submitter costs: it's looking like $20 per submitter will work out ok as long as we also get people willing to pre-order. (Preorders will be taken a month or so before the deadline) The $20 fee includes a copy of the CD of course. This fee may be lowered or raised by a small amount (maybe +/-$5) depending on how many submitters we get.
3) Are you interested in being on the CD? Let me know in this thread if you're into it....I know it doesn't mean much because most people bailed out on the first CD, but it will help me to get an overall idea of what we'll need in terms of funds and such.
I've already sent $500 to Dragon from the Volume I profits, and there is still money rolling in (several hundred dollars more). This is a great way to raise money for the BBS!
Please read the FAQ before asking a question that's already been answered.
