- First, it helps if everyone trys to read these updates. A lot of questions are popping up and many of them have been answered a while back.
- "Where are we now? What the hell is going on?" Right now we're in the process of getting list of music contributers and voting on a name for the project. The deadline for each is this coming monday (1/17/2000). That's it.
- "Where do I send my song?????" Nowhere. Don't worry about it yet. That stuff is a ways off.
- There has been a lot of debate over mastering. Some don't like the idea at all, some are very interested. Ed just posted that he's going to charge 20 bucks an hour for any amount of editing. So, the CD will be primarily unmastered except for those who wish this service. No big deal. This is a "Home" recording project, after all.
- I will be contacting everyone as deadlines come up. You will NOT be left out of the loop, don't worry. I have a confirmed email address for every single music contributer.
- The list of music contributers has not changed since the last update.
- HomeRecording.Comp looks like it will be the clear winner in the name game, though there are still a few days to vote. Thanks to S8-N.
- Art. Draw something. Make something on the computer. Take a picture. Whatever. If you have an idea for cover art, post here or send to hr_comp_cd@hotmail.com
DRAGON: It would be cool if you'd enable pictures in this group so that people can post artwork ideas.
- The CD Jacket....in order to keep the amount of information in the jacket, we'll probably be putting information right on the CD itself. That way people can write as much as they want about themselves and their setup. Thanks to Jon X for this idea. HTML will be the format.
