OK, not sure why everyone is getting hot and bothered about this, but here's something to remember...
I said in my original post that I "downloaded a backing track" and played guitar over it... The key here is "downloaded a backing track" the poor sound quality of the backing in particular is because that is how the backing is...that part I can do nothing about as I did not create the backing track. Is this clear???
I never said I wanted good or bad feedback, I just asked for comments.
I am not a shred player by any means at all, just thought I'd give it a go, if it's no good, that's fair enough, I won't lose any sleep over it. It was just a one off 1st take record it and forget it affair.
It is a bit funny though that you "experts" don't give any constructive critisism, you merely critisize, which is a shame as nobody will learn anything from your immature "won't win any awards" or "you need to learn when to shred" type of comments. A more mature and considered opinion would have been to offer advice as to why it "won't win any awards" and how to "learn when to shred". It appears that most of these types of forums are just full with "head up yer ass" types who think they know everything about everything and have no interest in helping others to progress. A shame really, but that's me finished here.
