Come Let Me Love You - feedback please

I's have to say, against my personal bias, that the bass is too loud. It's prominence grabbed my attention & I began listening to the runs & entries & in some cases trying to reconcile some of the more mjh signature idiosyncratic ones in my head.
The guitars are great, the voclas are fabulous & the drums really kick the song along now.

I really like it. Sounds very Cream/Eric Clapton. (Not a bad thing at all)

I can't fault it. I'm in a 3 piece band and play bass. I'm a lead bass player rather than plonk in the background. I like an upfront, loud bassline driving a song along with great drums, which is what I hear here!

Gerry, I have to say your skills have improved greatly in the past few weeks. ;)
This sounds perfect to me, I can't find anything I don't like here. Jason's drumming sounds great and guitars and voice sound perfect. I liked the dominating bass, it drives the song along nicely. Great job!

This is great. I have no suggestions for improvement. You've always written great songs; I'm glad to see the quality of your mixes doing justice to your songs.

Let me get this straight... you brought Jason on board and you switched to Sonar, and that's it?? Whatever you're doing, it's working.

I feel honored, man! That mix is stellar! I know my drums don't sound that good when I send them to you. Your mixes are getting better and better.

I agree with everything that's been said, except for "the bass is too loud". That bass drives the song with a vengeance! I love it!

If it weren't 2:30am, I'd probably be crankin' out another one! (gotta keep things peaceable with the neighbors and all...)

Keep it up, Gerry. I'm more and more impressed with your mixes.

Very cream like, which is an all time fav band of mine.

Vocals sound sort of like Steve Winwood in places

Yeah it sounds pretty good. Getting better and better. Maybe get a little more thump from the kick. I think the vocals are great, but they seem a little thin. Maybe record another track and double them or use a chorus ueffect or something.
 
Sounds cool man...guitar kinda has a Mark Knopfler vibe circa "Money For Nothing"....mix does seem to be lacking a little low end thump....nice solo around 2:00...fits the song very well....good rockin' tune man!
 
Sounds good, but it's still lacking a little low end power from the kick.
