Is there a standard for coloring the tracks in computer software? Before I get myself into a bad habit of using the wrong colors, I just want to be sure!

If there isn't a standard, what are you guys using...for

Drums
guitars
bass
vocals

No there isn't, and there could never be either...... the way people see shades of colours can be very different from person to person.

Use whatever colours you like!

yellow, black, yellow, black, yellow, pink, yellow, black... :D

do this in the dark with the monitor brightness and contract turned way up! Looks very cool when you have your red lava lamp glowing in the background...for about 10 seconds.

sorry...couldn't resist.

Well if you want to "warm" a vocal track use something like red. For a more mellow sound try a baby blue :)

Is that anything like rimming a CD with green marker to make them sound better?!???

:p :p

Hey...it works!...well...that's what my son tells me...and of course...everything sounds better on the iPod.

Well Green for Guitar

and

Blue for Bass

just seems obvious to me.

That's as logical as I'll get. I use purple for drums, red for vox, orange for keys.

i dont have any specific colors that i use, but if i'm doing a project with someone, i occasionally open the file when they're not around, and change all the colors...

its really immature.

but it gets funnier every time :D
