SORRY I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG FORUM I DONT KNOW HOW TO MOVE IT

hey everyone i need a little help with understanding something. when i first started i had started with a USB co1u on my vocals ( im not recording any instruments )... i LOVED IT it sounded so nice and solid for my songs after compression. after a while i got a Audio Technica At4040 and a Tascam Us-122mkii , it was pretty good but i missed my co1u sound completly, i did also buy and a Miktek cv4, took back the cv4 and got a akg c414 xls . it was nice and warm sounding i liked it alot but i had to sell it after a while.

ive been reading up people talking about microphones being color'ed? i go back and listen to my songs done with the co1u and i love the sound i got, it sounds like an actual song...
could that be because the mic is color'ed? and if so...what are good mics out there that are color'ed?
i REALLY dont want a mic that is extremely clear and way to flat and boring sounding
i am almost debating on getting the co1u usb once again lol

i want to leave a sample on here of what i mean in differences but all i know is my youtube page im not looking for views and i dont care about it but please listen to 1 used with a co1u and 1 used with the AT4040

Deep In ( Co1u)

This Is Me ( AT4040 + Tascam US-122Mkii )

adobe audition 3 for both songs ( i do not like CS6 )

i do notice that the AT4040 is a hell of alot more clear! but it takes alot to produce with it and its pissing me off to get a proper sound, is there a way i could color the sound before i start mixing? like maybe throw a EQ on it and boost the bass on the vocals so that i get a solid sound like i had with the co1u? the co1u sound extremely not clear and terrible raw untill i did some mixing .... i just wanna color it to make that solid / clear / soft sound where its not hurting the ear and sounding crappy

oh and i also have to compress ALOT more with the AT4040 just to make it sound like it has some compression i dunno why

if any one cause help me with this that would be awesome and thank you!
