Hi guys. So, started this track a fair while back with the aim of having many people putting ideas into it.
So far it is all real recorded instruments played by me and one or two of my friends. We started with recording some drum loops and went from there really... I guess if you had to slot it in a genre it would be 'trip hop'. Anyway, I have a lovely lady working out some low profile vocal parts for it, so they will be added soon and there will probably be room for possibly male harmonies on top.

The structure is petty much to be ignored at this stage as are the details within the track.. it is mixed as a work in progress just to get an idea for other parts.
I am very open to peoples suggestions and you guys are invited to send/post anything that you think will add to the piece and if it works etc then it will go down on the track.

My aim is to have a finished track that is a product of multiple musical opinions and input :) I am hoping someone with piano skills may have something to add!
I will post a link to the stems if anyone needs them.
I have it down as 148bpm, but could be 74 if you preferred!!

I love the idea of a collaboration format. Done it many times.

First thing I noticed here is that the acoustic guitar is off time often throughout. And a bunch of audio 'pop' glitches in some instrument. Pops/clips/dropouts...

The first thing I would do before offering to add parts is make sure the recording was viable and 'in time' to begin with. Step one, click track or solid drum track to record to. I am curious where step one was here.

No offense but I personally would not share tracks for other musicians if there were errors in timing of the tracks for others to play to.

First thing I noticed was the 'out of sync' and then the artifacts from whomever. Two things there have to be remedied before any movement forward.

I'm down by the way. I have a few things I would love to throw in here if you would have me. It gotta be solid before that is possible tho...

Sounds good. Those issues were what I meant by 'details', nothing has been trimmed and set yet. Was just to gauge interest really. The acoustic sample was from a long, long time ago and he was tapping his foot/chair noise etc. I used it for kind of semimetal reasons i guess. Anyway, I'm not expecting too much from this.. Just want to finish it with others input and see what comes out.

I heard a lot of pops and clicks. I think the timing problem is more with the drums.

Yea there are noises etc.. But like I said, the drum loops etc haven't been timed up yet, everything is very raw. These are things I will address once I have more parts for it. For now the drums have literally just been chopped and looped.

+1 on the clicks and pops. They seemed to come in most with the acoustic, so that's where I'd check first.

I've been pondering starting a massive collab project here for a few months. Maybe I'll pitch something into this. What key is it?

I like it. Yeah I heard the pops the first time the acoustic came in. I think this could turn into a great track with the right vocal and more parts. The mix balance seems good, nice beginning, good drum and bass groove. Not a huge fan of the acoustic guitar sound-is that a sampled acoustic? Like the strings that come in later.

Cheers guys. It is in F# I believe. Like I said, everything is very raw as the track is for reference.. kind of a scratch track. The acoustic is to be recorded again very soon.

Please feel free to add and send me whatever and I will have a go with it!
