I just got the green light here at work to use our CNC machines for any sort of wood projects that I come up with.
I work at a plastic injection mold shop, so we've got some nice machines
.
This means anything I can model up in my Pro-Engineer 3D design software, I can cut on the CNC machine.
I'm already working on modeling up a compound radius fingerboard with progressively scalloped frets, next I'll be modeling up some custom bodies and pickup and bridge routing...
Luckily I am good friends with the CNC operator who wants to be involved with my guitar building out of general curiosity. My project guitar future just got alot brighter!
Just wanted to share my joy!
