J to the R O C
Just realised how many dings my guitars have.... I don't gig but the guitars seem to pick up alot of scratches and bumps from just being used at home!

Kinda annoyed..my Tele is beat up..and that's okay...but even my mratin has a tiny bump on it. I think it's just carelessness, but from now on I'm not gonna play around the house...I'm confinig playing to my bedroom.

wrap them in foam rubber. :D

kind of like putting a helmet on a mentally challenged kid.

Well they all have cases...it's just not being careful about putting them back.

I just spit gin & tonic through my nose and into the keyboard.

bumps, scratches, and bruises are just character marks. don't sweat it.

Yeha, but it just bothers me...I love my instruments, and no way could I afford to replace evn one of em right now.

Change how you look at it

Think of it as 'relic-ing' your instruments.

If I worried about every little bump and scratch on my guitars, I'd go mad and never play them. Some guys are like that though and get along just fine.

Yeah I know what you;re saying travis..it;s just those bumps and scratches could have as easily been cracked necks or whatever.

If it tells you anything, I've had two cracked necks (actually three considering 1 cracked twice). :D I didn't do it but it was my fault for not putting the guitars away. That's what I told myself to keep from strangling the breakee's anyway.

It happens dude. People who havent got scratches on their guitars - well, they probably don't play them properly. They're tools. Use them.

Just spray paint them all with Krylon and they'll look so shitty that you won't care. :D

My new es-295 made it to one practice. I walked into the mic stand twice and that's it. It's now my little bedroom slut for home games only. I didn't even look for the dings.

Ah so you can empathise with me?
Actually I can my friend. On my 1974 Martin D-41 I have a ding on the face that looks like a waffle from the grill of a microphone. :(

No, no, no Travis... you've got it all wrong...
