Props - you've been fruitful of late haven't you?
Nice intro - esp the derailing of the train.
Nice Rhodes tone.
The bass (rhodes sample again?) could use some tightening - compression maybe - it's a bit fat/flabby.
Nice story about living to work -
The structure, harmonies and FX all suit this nicely there are a few sweet moments of Nilssonness in this.
Lovely.
Might need a little EQing as the overall sound is round and middy but that would be the roll of an ME afterall.
Lovely!

Thanks Rayc. That train was a sample that I recorded myself. As was the thunderstorm. I was quite proud of that. I didn't want to have some sorry effects from some website in there. The bass isn't a rhodes sample, but I do agree there needs to be something done there. There is too much mud between the rhodes and the bass I guess. Cut the bass on the rhodes maybe? By the way, I have no idea what ME means. Thanks again for the comments.

This is a cool tune. Not the stuff I usually listen too but I can appreciate it and the lyrics are damn good. I liked the chainsaw on isle five, funny stuff. Everything sounded as it should here to me at least. That was a great sample in the beginning by the way. Definitely better than anything you would have found searching on the net.

Sounds very good. Good song too. It's a little long for my taste, or it could use some kind of simple percussion coming in near the end to break the monotony.

Very cool intro. Vocals sound great. Nice job on the back-up vocals, they mix really well. I like the keyboards too. No complaints about the mix either. Sounds professional.

Thanks for clearing that up. :D

Thanks dude! :D

I do agree, but I really couldn't find anything that sounded good to me in way of percussion. Thanks for the comment greg! :D

My boy would like this tune, he likes choo's choo's

The vox sound a little "behind" on computer speakers anyways, kinda sounds like the rhodes is in front of the singer. Maybe a little more compression or less separation on the vox. The rhodes could maybe use just a wee bit more low mid, but I'm not listening on good speakers here.

I write this as I'm stuck in a boiler house for a 12 hour shift on a sunny Saturday afternoon, how appropriate?

PS

Is this the LPC dude?

I had that other tune by this name on my brain when I clicked on it. I was pleasantly surprised. That's a good thing.

I like the sound of the train. The rhodes needs to come down a dB or two, but otherwise it's not bad. I suggest using a high pass filter on the bass or the rhodes to bring the bass lines out a bit more.

Well thanks. I will see what I can do. And I don't know what you mean by LPC unless you mean Little Purple Circles (supercreep). If so, no I'm not, but I take that as a complement. :D

I don't know about the other song, but I'm glad you liked this one. I am trying to think of how to get all of the stuff better by what I am reading here. Thanks!

I'd like to hear it with pan and level swapped out for the Rhodes and the vox: Rhodes, back where the voices sit; voices, where the piano sits.

The train sample could be more up front. It seems somewhat removed from the rest of the song.

Love the little effects....

Harmonies/Unisons are super...

The synth patch was a good choice for this song. Gives it a British ish feel...a fav of mine.

Damn customers...

:D:cool::D:cool:

Good song, Adam.

I like the Rhodes sound, very ethereal. The thunder and the train were nice touches.

Good harmonies. All in all, very enjoyable listen. Good melody, as Greg said, some percussion would have been nice to punctuate the last chorus. Maybe just the pop of a wet snare and a little tap tap tap on the bell of a ride.

Nice addition to your work,

Wig:)
