wtf is clocking? is it like hertz? the rhythm of the digital data stream??

do i use the sound card as the clock and reaper chimes to the 1010lts beat? or the other way around.

i swear the search engine's gone screwy

thanks wise dudes.

ok heres the thing, im getting pops and clicks, but it if set th buffer to the lowest setting <100 sometihng> its records clear, if i set it to '1000 something' i get a constant crackling buzz.

im using a pent III, windows xp. 512ram

maybe my puter is too slow? i dont use it for anything but the studio.

wordclock is a digital heartbeat for HARDWARE devices to get them in sync.
for example, between two soundcards.
Reaper doesn't enter into it.

512mb of ram is barely enough to load xp. You need a new machine.

dang nabbit. this is a costly game.

thanks man.

i jammed 1500 in it last night to no avail...

and it seems that since i messed with the latency now some tracks with effects drag and sound really choppy/worse...

shrugs, the puters an old peace of crap, im trying to put together another one, i got a motherboard, that i cant get to power up but its 2.sometihng, im friging with that.
