Hi!

I am looking for Quality Clip-On Microphones (if they exist).

Here’s what I’d be using them for, so you know where I’m coming from:
----------------------------------------------
ABOUT
- I host a Weekly Live Variety Show in my city (Takes place in a Bar/Lounge).
- It runs for 1 hour.

WHAT I DO
- Record the actual Show with a Video Camera
- Tape record short skits (2 to 15 min) that I make in various settings: Street, in a House, in a Car etc.
- Interview People in various settings (on the Show/Street)

- Display the recorded sketches to my audience
- Later put these recorded sketches on the internet
----------------------------------------------

Let’s say I have a Late Night with Conan O’Brien feel…nowhere near the budget though!

In saying that, I would like to have Clip-On mics…so my staff and I could have more maneuverability.

Are there any good Clip-On microphones?
At the same time…do you think that maybe Clip-On mics wouldn’t be as effective (quality-wise) as regular mics?

BUDGET
Let’s say I can afford up to $1000

Thanks for reading!
Jenny :)

I've never had a problem with Shure wireless mics. :) You can get wired clip-ons too. $1,000 is enough for 3 wireless or about 10 wired mics.

Hi guys.

Thanks for the help! I’ll take a look at your suggestions…

Jenny ;)
