Honestly there needs to be a "signal interference" category or something like that. I think this is like the 8th topic I've had on humming, buzzes or some kind of noise that is in my recordings.

Anyway here's the deal:

I have a Kustom 30W acoustic amp for my 12 string. Whether I'm plugged in or not, even out the built in speaker I get this very fast clicking noise. I hate to say this, but I think it's the amp making this sound. Here is a little track:

MP3 Player SoundClick

I did amplify the beginning until the guitar actually plays to help you hear what I hear. The rest is normal. It almost sounds like a taser. Is this a ground problem or is it more of a circuitry issue with the amp?

Just a guess but it sounds like it might interference to me. Might be something on the same AC circuit or some EMI/ RF related noise.

Refridgerator or air conditioning line noise is my guess.

Post another clip without any guitar and just the noise. It's too brief in the original clip to really get a handle on what it might be.

I'd try turning off the fridge and see if it goes away.

When the guitar is playing it reminds me of recordings done under ceiling fans.

Oh I just figured it out! It was the chorus effect built into the amp. When I turned that knob, the speed of the clicking noise changed. When I turned the knob all the way off, it went away. I guess I can just use some VST's for a chorus effect. Thanks guys!
